This grant-funded program will be offered for seven weeks beginning February 24, 2020. Designed to provide adult learners with the skills necessary to work in food service, the program is limited to 12 students. Applications will be required. Please complete the online application form here and a Cape Cod Culinary Incubator board member will contact you once applications have been reviewed.
Class 1: Food handling, storage and safety (2 hours)
Class 2: Product ID; Kitchen Equipment ID; Culinary Math & How to read a recipe (1.5 hours)
Class 3: Basic knife skills; Time management (2 hours)
Class 4: How to Sauté and grill (3 hours)
Class 5: How to Fry and Bake (3 hours)
Class 6: How to work as a team in a kitchen (4 hours)
Class 7: Recap; Testing; Interview skills (1.5 hours)
Participants who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the CCCI as well as a reference letter and program overview that can be provided to potential future employers.
Additional registration via the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School may be required. All sessions will be held at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich, MA.
