Tommy’s Place Seeking Recipes for Recipe Book

Tommy’s Place is located at 26 Elm Arch Way, the former site of the Elm Arch Inn. And yes, Tommy’s Place is named after Falmouth (and Boston’s) own local legend, Tommy Leonard.

It is a vacation home for kids fighting cancer. The home is a place to relax, make memories, and most importantly – have fun! One family at a time will be able to stay for up to a week at no charge. The house is big enough to accommodate the child’s immediate and extended family, as well as any friends and/or caregivers that are part of their support system.

Visit www.tommysplace.org for more information and to learn how Grifyn inspired Tim O’Connell to undertake making Tommy’s Place a reality.  Watch the videos.

Tommy’s Place is assembling Tommy’s Place Recipe Book.  The idea: getting chefs from every restaurant/food establishment in Falmouth to submit a recipe that would be included in the book. They will leave a copy at the house for the families to use. And since every recipe would include the restaurant, chef, and owner’s name (if so desired), the families, friends or relatives may wander out to visit one of the establishments.

All the proceeds go to Tommy’s Place.  The Cookbook will be sold throughout town (and out of town too),

Karen Rinaldo has completed the illustrations and Kelly at New Wave Printing will be printing the Cookbook.

Many restaurants have already submitted their recipes and hopefully you will come on board and take pride in this project.
